What is oncyber?​

oncyber is a metaverse platform that makes it easy for anyone to create their own browser based 3D experience that anyone else can visit and that people can use to connect in virtually.

How do I set up my own experience on oncyber?​

It is free and very easy to use! You just need to go to oncyber.io, make sure you're logged in, and click β€œcreate”.

Is it safe to connect my wallet to oncyber?​

You bet! Fully safe & gasless.

You can also login with gmail or twitter.

Can oncyber be experienced in VR?​

Yes oncyber works in VR with XR supported browsers!

What is the best browser to use when navigating oncyber?​

Chrome or Brave are typically the best browsers to use!

How can I change my profile picture?​

Login, click your profile in the top right corner, and click to edit your profile.

Nope! Your gallery will be up for life if you want to be.

What is an NFT?​

NFTs are tokens that can are used to represent ownership of unique items. In the context of oncyber, those items are often digital art like a JPEG or an MP3! Many artists and collectors use oncyber to showcase their NFTs, tracking provenance of the artwork created & allowing others to purchase or make offers on those items.

What do I do if one of my NFT won’t load or animate?​

Please clear your cache, refresh, and try again! If it’s still not working, please jump in our discord and give us a ping!

Yes!

  1. When in the 3D Studio, click the + icon in the bottom right hand corner

  2. This will generate a collab link -- copy this link and send it to your collaborator

  3. When they accept the link, you'll be able to place their NFTs and they can help curate the space

  4. In the 3D Studio click on the space info in the bottom left hand corner

  5. Customize your own link

  6. Copy your gallery link and share it with your frens

I can’t find a piece I placed. What should I do?​

From the editor, go to the stats section. From there, you’ll be able to remove assets by clicking on β€œRemove” in the β€œActions” column.

There are different options for you to add audio to your oncyber space:

  1. Place an audio NFT in your space

  2. Place a youtube video in your space

  3. When visiting your space, you can share audio from another tab to facilitate a more-live listening experience

note: for 1 & 2, you can click on any asset that you've place in your space to adjust its settings -- you can set the audio to play across the entire space, to play based on spatial distance, or to play only when looked at.

Can I fetch assets I minted & already sold?​

Yes! To do that, click on a placeholder, and click on the minted tab in your sidebar. Some platforms may use their own wallet address when you mint, and unfortunately in that instance, we aren’t able to display those NFTs.

I get a β€œFailed to load asset” error message when trying to place an asset. What should I do?​

If the asset is from Foundation, please go to the NFT’s OpenSea page and refresh the metadata. Otherwise please jump in oue discord and give us a ping!

Can you connect to your Nifty Gateway account?​

Yes, you can, just click to connect your wallet and select the Nifty Gateway login!

Not all of my artworks are showing up. What should I do?​

Make sure you are looking in the right wallet/blockchain. If it's the case and refreshing doesn't solve, please jump in oue discord and give us a ping!

Does oncyber have a Twitter?​

Yes! Click on "Connect another wallet" in the drop down menu located on the top right of the screen, connect a new wallet. In the editor after you click to add artwork, you can select which wallet you're choosing from.

When you're in the editor, your space in the top left hand corner. This will show you all of your spaces & give you the option to create a new one.

What blockchains do you support​

Currently you can add assets from Ethereum, Polygon, Klaytn, Tezos, Solana and XCP.

When you're in the editor, click the up arrow in the top left corner to show your different spaces. Click "..." and then delete the space.

It is not possible to have zero galleries on your oncyber account for the moment. If you only have one gallery and you wish to delete it, create an additional one first, then delete the gallery you wanted to delete in the first place.

Artworks from OpenSea appear in my assets list but don't load properly?​

Most commonly, you can fix this problem by refreshing the metadata of these assets directly on the asset's Open Sea page, or clearing your browser cache. If none of these methods work, please jump in oue discord and give us a ping!

Where can I purchase oncyber galleries?​

You can get started with a free space, but if you do want a premium space, you can find oncyber space at oncyber.io/marketplace.

It is not possible to use the same domain name on different galleries simultaneously. To make a domain name available again, you have to delete the initial corresponding gallery or change its name.

Yes it is! Though it may be easier to do on desktop.

What software are galleries themselves built in?​

oncyber spaces, before any customization, are glb models --- so it’s dependent on the artist, but typically spaces are created in software programs like: Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D.

How can I change my profile picture?​

Click on your profile in the top right hand corner and click to edit your profile.

In the editor, click your space's info in the bottom left hand corner -- you can set a custom URL there.

Not all of my NFTs are showing up?​

Refreshing the page may do the trick! If you have NFTS in different wallets, make sure you’ve connected each and selected the right one, and if you still run into issues please jump in our discord and let us know.

What happens to an NFT in display if that NFT gets transferred to another wallet?​

For now, it will remain in the space until you manually take it out. When someone inspects the NFT, it will show the NFT's history/provenance, reflecting that you are no longer the owner.

Yes! You can embed your space as an iframe on any site. When you go to visit your space, before you enter, click "..." in the bottom right hand corner, and click on the "Embed iframe" option to get a snippet of code to use on your site.
